Why is my Moto G5+ flashing a white LED when I try to charge it?

My Moto G5+ is turned off and won't turn on. When I plug it in to charge, a white LED flashes under the speaker grill. I can' turn it on or bring up the boot loader menu. It's been sitting on the charger for about an hour now, and the LED constantly flashes. What can be done to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Let it charge on a wall outlet for at least 6 hours undisturbed. Then press and hold Power for about 20 seconds to see if anything happens.
