Android Central Question

I was wondering, my newer android device (Redmi Note 10 Pro Max) has an amazing battery...but last week I downloaded some [mod redacted ] third party site and now my phone's battery has noticeably lasted much shorter time :( I tried to factory reset my phone, and it didn't seem to help in my opinion.

Do you know if the potential malware has attached itself to my Google account perhaps if I was signed in during the download process? Idk what to do and am feeling pretty devastated. Thank you for any advice

Android version 11RKQ1
Miui Version 12.5.6

We can't say for certain if malware has infected your Google account, we're just a group of Android users trying to help each other.

We won't discuss the actual act of downloading the file from where you did as it violates YouTube's terms and can result in malware just as you suspect has happened.

How do i get rid of malware I think is connected to my Google Chrome account?? Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which may show Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.
