Why my Note 3 battery draining very fast after updating to version 5?

My note 3 had update yesterday and after the update the battery started draining fast even when it's not being used. The phone battery level was 98% and within an hour it went to 2%. I bought the phone a year ago. It was well before this update to version. Can anyone help?

It shouldn't. Both of my Note 3s are giving me pretty good battery life since the update (about the same as on 4.4.4 or 4.4.2). But the battery is getting old, and if you regularly deep discharge it (20% or less), it could be about shot. (Lithium batteries should be recharged when they reach 50%-40%. If you need more capacity, carry a power pack - and don't let it get below 40% either.)
