Phone Charging (Inductive) erratic since 4.4.4
Have had my Droid Maxx for over a year now and just love it. I got the inductive charger (Qi) that Verizon recommended...the Incipio Ghost 100 marked Droid on the front. It worked extermely well except for the annoying tone it emitted when it found the charger and it had these cool moving lights shaped like a cross that matched up with the rear cable and two hash marks on the side. It was pretty much all that was available early on. And it worked. Then came the 4.4.4 update. I didn't make the connection at the time but the charger started malfunctioning; stopping and restarting charging all night long. Not much of a problem except it always turned on the home screen, fired up the moving alignment markers and gave the charge level at maximum brightness. Not so cool on your night stand while sleeping. I complained to Incipio who made the device and after 15 questions and coming up with the online reciept they replaced it with the Ghost 110. Newer is better, right? This unit has a brilliant LED light that is bright blue (like a night light) when charging and red when improperly aligned. Last night I got the alignment stuff and went to sleep. Wife said the phone illuminated the room off and on all night. This morning I looked at the phone and all I had was a battery logo that said 0%. Yes ZERO. I had to use a plug in charget to jump start it and the finished with the Qi charger. Before 4.4.4 it worked every night flawlessly. Post 4.4.4 it is crazy erratic. Any thoughts. Before 4.4.4 it worked well even with the Verizon/Moto hard rubber slip in case. Now I charge it out of the case. What happened?
