Android Central Question

My LG Fortune won't connect to my computer. It used to connect to it not too long ago, but now it is unrecognized. However, it is still charging.
There is no notification to change USB mode.
It is on MTP mode.
USB Debugging is on.
The cable that was working perfectly a couple days ago should not be the problem. Other phones have been connected with this cord. Even if it was the cord, I have used two other ones and they still work properly.
The phone's drivers are still in the PC. They also say that it is not connected, even though it is.
Safe mode was used for both the PC and the phone, yet the phone still did not connect.
I'm thinking that the problem is with the phone, but I do not know how it could just stop connecting suddenly.

Welcome to Android Central! Make sure the phone's USB port is clear of any debris -- use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a small Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts.

I'll provide a link to register so you can communicate here.

It's more likely that one of the data pins in the connector became unsoldered (which is not uncommon for a microUSB connector after 2 years, if you're not very careful with it). But the repair would cost more than replacing the phone. It was only $100 to start with (2 years ago) and you can get them used (which yours is, of course) for about $40 on Amazon. (A repair shop wouldn't open the phone to look at it for that price.)
