Why is my phone not ringing when new messages come in

[Android Central Question]

When new messages come in whether text, WhatsApp, Facebook or email there's no notification sound. How can I correct this? The Do not Disturb function is off. My phone is an Itel S15 32g

You have app badges? Just no sounds ?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you've already checked the notification settings for all of those apps, correct? Do other apps make notification sounds? Have you checked to make sure the volume slider for Notifications is turned up?
