Why is my phone occasionally claiming to have absolutely no space left?

For the past month or so my Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime will occasionally when turned on inform me that my phone has absolutely none of the 8.00gb of room left on the internal memory leaving me unable to make any proper use of it.After a few restarts this will typically go away and will show the 300-600mb free I actually have available. Today the problem has seemingly gotten even worse as even when it does finally restart and show the actual amount of room i have functionally left that same space quickly fills back up and I again without any space what so ever.Further occasionally on such a start I will be constantly bombarded with messages telling me that google play services has stopped working

This certainly doesn't appear to be an issue with me actually not having enough room as uninstalling apps or moving pictures off the internal storage will in best case make a a couple of kilobytes of room even if the app itself nears 100mbs.Additionally in the situation that any room at all is cleared within a minute or two this will again be gone.

Clearing my cache nor using *#9900# have at all solved this problem. However something interesting did happen when i plugged my phone into my laptop as it showed max internal storage of the phone being 3.49gb which I believe is the exact amount of room dedicated to the system.

Any ideas at all at how to fix this I'm at my wits end and I've only had the phone for around 3 months.

Welcome to Android Central! 300-600 MB of remaining internal storage is pretty low. The system needs to have a certain amount of free space to for things like caching data, so your best bet is to uninstall some apps that you don't regularly use, or get rid of any photos/videos saved to Internal Storage (by either moving them to an SD card or backing them up to the cloud).

The max Internal Storage of 3.49 GB is how much internal storage is for the user. The OS and preinstalled Samsung bloatware is taking up 4.51 GB (adding up to 8 GB).
