Why is my phone only booting in the custom recovery CWM-based recovery?

I own a Galaxy tab 3 lite. i decided that i would root this device.

i have rooted multiple devices in the past, so i was confident that i could do it. i downloaded all the necessary files and i followed all steps to a T. i installed a few root checkers and discovered that superuser access had been granted. i then proceeded to install supersu. after install completed, i opened the supersu apk and it IMMEDIATELY popped up with, A new binary needs to be downloaded for supersu... so after finding that i couldn't access the app without updating it, i chose to accept. so it rebooted itself into recovery mode and began to download the files for itself. about 50%through the download it stopped and informed me that this procedure may possibly unroot my device and that it couldn't be undone. i decided to cancel this operation and to just uninstall supersu. but as soon as i pressed the "NO" button, it rebooted itself immediately. the problem is that it will now ONLY boot into the custom recovery CWM-based recovery v6.0.4.8
Is there any possible way that i can fix this issue? i have never encountered this problem before.. Galaxy tab 3 lite SM-T110
