Android Central Question

Hi is anyone else having this problem with there v30 after 8.0 update.

Every now and again maybe once a day my phone says no sim card inserted, this only seems to have started after 8.0 update.

When I restart the phone it works again Ok until it happens again about a day after.

I have replaced the SIM and cleaned out the sim card tray also I have tried turning off/on radio signal and nothing has worked.

Is this happing to anyone else and do you know a solution.

Welcome to Android Central!

It could be a bad SIM card, or a SIM card slot with some wonky electrical contacts. Ask your mobile carrier for a new SIM card, and if that doesn't fix the problem, for repair or replacement of the phone (if it's still under warranty).

Hi, I do have the same exact problem with galaxy A8 (2018)

My Phone says no sim card inserted, this happens about once a day, but can go for as long as 2 days.
I've tried different SIM from different carriers.
This also happened before and after Oreo update.
I've tried wiping cache partition, factory reset. It happens also under safe mode.
When I restart the phone it works again Ok.

Did you find a solution, please?
