Why is my Pixel 1 still showing the wrong Timezone for Morocco?

This October, Morocco abruptly changed their Timezone.

Morocco is no longer GMT+0, it is now GMT+1 with no daylight savings.
The Timezone tzdata has updated the zone.
Apple has updated iOS with the zone
Google Calendar has updated the zone.

But my Pixel 1 on version 9 has not. And the Google Calendar app has not. My appointments have been out by an hour for over a month and it’s driving me crazy.
When will this be fixed?

That sounds frustrating. Go to Settings>Tips & Support and tap the Chat or Phone option under Contact Us to see if you can discuss this with a Google support agent. Seems like something they'd want to know sooner rather than later.

The last update for the P1 was November, which was released to developers on October 1, so it came out before the time change was announced. If you have automatic timezone, time and date set, though, you should be getting the time from the local cell tower, so what's in the firmware shouldn't matter.
