Why is my rear camera blurry and not focusing

I got a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime around 6 months ago. Recently the rear facing camera has become blurry and will not focus. It will focus on objects very close to the camera but not on objects more than 5cm away. I have installed "A Better Camera" but it has not made any difference. I have been reading up on this problem and it seems that it has happened to other Samsung users and they have had to purchase a new phone. I am very dissapointed as I have not had any previous problems with this phone and have been very happy with it. Is this a common thing with these type of phones? If I have to change my phone I will be very unhappy and will not be purchasing another Samsung.

Perhaps the camera module needs replacing?
Whatever the cause of the trouble, it may be warranty-covered.
