Why is my S6 phone grayed out for an app after resetting to factory defaults

Android Central Question

I had some bad malware on my phone, and as a last resort, did a factory reset on my Galaxy S6 (Verizon). I had backups to the google cloud - so all my apps came back except one app that now (in the Play Store) shows my phone grayed out - not compatible. Very strange! Any idea on what is causing this glitch? The app is a big box retail app that I would assume would be compatible with pretty much anything. Looking for a way to remedy this!
Thanks

Not a glitch and something that only the app dev can 'fix'. Apps that are already installed would likely still work but update less frequently (if at all) after the specific device/OS version has been marked as incompatible, but since this is a new install, said app will not show as available.

You can try contacting the dev or manually installing an older version that is compatible.
