Android Central Question

I have had my Samsung S6 for a while now and this has never happened before. Today as I reached for my phone the screen was unresponsive and the blue led was on steadily. I tried to press the home button, power button, put it to charge, tried again... then I read on some threads about the volume+power reset and the volume+home+power reset, tried everything for as long as one minute, nothing! The blue led goes from light blue to dark blue and aside from that nothing else happens, I hoped maybe i could power it down completely so maybe it would reboot. I am so worried that it may be the screen, because changing it costs so much. Is it possible that maybe the screen component disconected from the board and it's not broken or damaged completely?

Welcome to Android Central! From what I've seen about this issue, it's usually a very bad sign -- more like something with the motherboard, rather than just the screen.

If the phone is somehow frozen on a blank screen, you can try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 15-20 seconds. Then try powering on again. If nothing happens, you might be out of luck. Sorry!

The LED pulsing blue is like a hard drive "accessing" light - the phone is accessing storage. It could be what's called "blue skying" - off somewhere in another world, just accessing storage, or it could be doing something like rebuilding the Dalvik cache. If it doesn't come back in 2 hours (I've had it take that long a few times, then as B. Diddy said, force a reset (just the power button) or a shutdown.

If that still doesn't work, plug in the charger until you can take it to a repair shop.
