Why is my S7 Edge charging so slowly

Hello everyone. My dad gave me his S7 Edge about a year ago and since then it has been working fine but yesterday, I noticed that now it is charging very slowly. It said it was at 87% and would be done in 30 minutes but that was over an hour ago and it's only at 90% now. I cleared the cache thinking it would work but it hasn't. The phone battery can't be removed either. What's wrong with it and is there anything I can do that doesn't involve replacing it because right now I can't

Try first a different charging lead.

Does it also charge slowly using wireless charging? If not, then the port might be the problem.

If it's a charging port problem, then see if there is an accumulation of dirt/debris in there. You might be able to clean it out with a toothpick a canned air.
