Why is my Samsung Galaxy S5 charging when connected to my computer?

I want to download pictures from my mobile phone to my computer. I never had a problem before, I only downloaded last month. Today I connected it and in the drop down menu it didn't even give me the option "connect as data device". I tried to activate the USB port in "Storage" but it didn't even give me the "more" option on my device.
