Why is my samsung galaxy s7 edge "SYSTEM UPDATE" button not workind

i recently purchased samsung galaxy s7 edge with a 7.0 android version and oreo has been out long time but when i press system update button under the about device nothing happens it doesnt say its up to date, it just stays in the system menu.
