Why is my samsung j1 taking camera flashes by itself?

Sometimes i'll be on google chrome and it will happen. Previously, i was on my bed and it took a photo by itself. The flash gave it away, i am confused and would like to know if im being monitored. Thnx

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain it's taking a picture, or is it just the flash that's going off? There might be an Accessibility option that's turned on, which uses the camera LED flash as a notification light. Go to Settings>Accessibility>Hearing>Enable Flash Notification​, and see if that's on.
