Why is my Samsung Tab 2 not charging?

Samsung tab 2 charging problem

My tab is not charging, once i connect the tab to power the battery icon is appearing it try to charge then immediate switch off. again the cycle will continue.

Welcome to Android Central! First, try a different cable and/or wall charging plug. If that doesn't work, then the battery might have failed--you can try replacing it yourself (search YouTube for DIY videos) or bring it to a repair shop.
