Why is my screen flickering?

[Android Central Question]

These past few months my screen is flickering like a flickering light bulb when it's at its lowest brightness.
To stop it I have to put the brightness up a little but I like to have my brightness at its lowest usually so it sucks.
Any solutions? Thank you.

It may be worth trying a screen brightness app from the Play Store, but also perhaps, worth bearing in mind that it may be an indicator of impending hardware failure.

Do you have adaptive brightness turned on... it will do that by automatically trying to adjust the screen brightness to your preference. It doesn't always do the best job though. If you want the brightness to stay exactly where you put it all the time, be sure adaptive brightness is off.

Does it also happen in Safe Mode? https://www.hardreset.info/devices/...e-mode/how-to-enter-the-safe-mode-in-samsung/. If so, then the screen may be failing. You'd have to take it to a repair shop if it bothers you enough.
