why is my sd card corrupted ?

Hello,

I have a htc one m8 and recently bought a sandisk extreme 128 gb micro SDXC card. I put it in my phone and formatted it with the phone and it showed up. so evrything is fine. Thene i started to move files from the internal storage to the external storage files lik pictures and movies i took with the camera. this all went fine until i left my phone for a while. Thene i noticed the sd card was not connected annymore but it still was in. My phone asked me to mount the sd card but i would not mount so i took it out of the phone and placed in the adapter and connected it to my computer. My computer told me to format the sd card.... but all these files where on the sd card so i downloaded a data recovery tool to get my files back. This took 24 hours + but i got the most of my data back... thene i replaced all the files on the sd card and connected it back in to my phone and there evrything was again... accesable... untile again a couple of hourse passed and the sd card was not getting read by the phone. I was wondering of annybody experiancing the same problem?

It could be a faulty micro usb port... but you should turn off your phone before you take it out, even if it thinks its not there. You probably already know this, but just in case:

NEVER REMOVE STORAGE UNEXPECTEDLY! ALWAYS DISMOUNT OR POWER DOWN BEFORE REMOVAL! THIS IS FOR ALL DEVICES!

also, have you tried using the micro usb on another device? could be that too
