why is my sd card unrecognized after i just did the new update?

My sd card worked fine until i did the update. And now its not even recongnized by my phone or computer. Is there any way to get my pics back?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Unfortunately, we see reports occasionally of SD cards that seem to get corrupted during a system update. You could try recovering data using the methods here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...-s/500142-guide-recovering-deleted-files.html
