Why is my stilo 5 screen grey and un responsive

[Android Central Question]

Woke up this morning and my daughters screen has tuned Grey and faded and when I try to turn on the data the phone goes back to previous screen. I have already remotely reset the phone and am still having the same problem. It really seems like someone has hijacked the phone. Buttons are being clicked with out anyone touching the phone...any help would be appreciated thanks

Are you using any extreme power saving mode? You remotely factory reset?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean the screen is a solid grey, with nothing else visible? Or do you see the homescreen, but everything just looks washed out?

What "previous screen" are you referring to when you turn on data?

There's no need to jump to the conclusion that someone has hacked the phone. This sounds more like hardware failure.
