why is my tablet running so slow

[Android Central Question]

my lenovo smart tab's internet runs very slow. how can i speed it up? also my internet has intermitant connection. my internet provider says there internet service to me is "perfect" so i assume it must be my smart tab. please help i have tried everything plus have had my motum and my "splicer" ? changed to a new or at least different one. my cabel provider says it's just my tablet is bad. but it's brand new!

Have you compared speed test results using a second device? Are the speeds on a different device the same or better? Can you try a device that will connect to wired as well as wireless so you can test both? I ask this last one as I recently replaced my router because the wireless was lagging while wired was fine.
