Why is my tablet shutting off then don't want to turn on?

I have a Android digland tablet and at random times like at 92% battery life it will shut off. When I try to turn it on I have to plug it in cause it say I have an empty battery or something and when I get it on I will have like 34% battery life. Also when I get it on I will have ads popping up to download games, I Norton download so it shouldn't be a virus. But please help!!!!
