Why is my tablet so slow and freezing so much?

I just bought a {10.1" Quad-Core tablet with Android 7.1 Nougat} and i havent downloaded anything yet but my tablet is being slow and freezes non-stop.

It's a very under spec tablet 1gb ram , can you return it maybe get something better ?

I agree with @mustang7757 that device is not modern, I wouldn't have spent more than $30-$50 on it. Definitely see if it can be returned and invest in something newer.

Welcome to Android Central! It can be challenging to find good Android tablets, although the choices have been getting better lately. The only companies I would trust to make decent tablets right now are Samsung and Lenovo.
