Why is my wallpaper reverting back to Samsung factory settings on S6

I have just down downloaded latest upgrade on Galaxy S6 and afterwards my wallpaper settings were reset to the factory settings. Despite resetting wallpapers from my Gallery after a short while they revert to factory settings. How do I fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you selecting one of the preinstalled wallpapers, or an image from your own gallery? What if you pick a live wallpaper?

I am using images from my camera gallery. I have tried saving direct from the gallery and also from the saved image in the wallpaper image gallery. The Wallpapers remain for 30 mins and then revert to the Samsung factory images.

I am having the same problem on Galaxy S6. this was not a problem before 6.0 was installed.

Have tried resetting wallpapers in Safe Mode and they do not maintain - soon reverting back to Factory wallpapers

There seem to be a number of issues being raised with the Marshmallow update on the S6 in these forums. Have you already tried wiping the cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095

I have tried your suggestion and then set the wallpaper again and it reset back to default almost immediately.

have you tried applying a different theme? one that comes with its own wallpaper and see if that wallpaper stays on?
