Why is my wife not able to receive my text messages

When I text my wife she is not able to receive my text messages and I'm looking directly at her phone what is the problem

What phone do you have, and what phone does your wife have? Did she ever have an iPhone? If she had an iPhone previously, but now uses an Android phone, did she deregister from iMessage?

If she did have an iPhone...make sure after she turns iMessage off.. that she you send her texts prior to switching back to android. Also you might need to call your cell provider to ensure it has the Android phone in her profile .. so many things go wrong by merely swapping SIM cards... for example Hot spot might not work if she has that..
