why is my WiFi automatically turning on with connections optimizer disabled on galaxy s6

I have a galaxy s6 32gb through sprint. I downloaded a software update last night and ever since then my WiFi has been automatically turning itself on. I disabled connections optimizer and it is still doing it and I can't figure out why. It didn't start doing it until I did the update. Help??
