Android Central Question

I use a galaxy S7, and using Accubattery, I usually use 25-30% of battery on screen per hour. However, after downloading Nova, It went up to 35-40%. I really don't want to delete nova because it looks good on my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it actually say that Nova is using a lot of battery? Has this increase been consistent, or only temporarily after you installed Nova? After installing Nova, it takes a little while to set up you homescreens the way you want them, so that could contribute to increased battery usage. Give it a few more battery charge cycles and see if the battery life returns to normal.

AMOLED screen. Is the wallpaper glaringly white, with few icons? That eats battery like a starving man eats food. Change to a solid black wallpaper and watch it drop through the floor. And if you install Proximity Service and keep the phone screen-down, or any way that you trick it into thinking that your ear is against the screen when you're not using it, you'll save a few more percent.

Thanks for the comments, but it is fixed. It had a large surge of battery usage the day I installed it, and a few days later, but it is back to normal. And no, I already use an all black screen for my background.

hmm interesting I usually always have 25-30% and recently 35%, even without Nova launcher. My battery health is at 75% which might be why
