Why is optimising app taking so long?

[Android Central Question]

I just received the newest android update, and i clicked update now. It updated everything, everything went nice and smooth but at the end it got stuck on white window that says Android is upgrading.... optimising pp 84 of 84.

It has been optimising for a long time, and i cant even stop it or restart it. I did hold power button for a while but still nothing. Why is it taking so long and what should I do?

It already had been 2 hours, still stuck on optimising app 84 of 84. I'm starting to panick taht was virus not a regular software update
