Why is Skype for android crashing as soon as a call connects?

Hi everyone,

My HTC M8 recently updated to lollipop which has introduced a plethora of problems. One particularly annoying one is now, when i try to call a landline from Skype (e.g. my parents, since i'm currently travelling in europe), it connects- I hear them say hello- then it disconnects. "Skype has stopped unexpectedly". But my status bar still has the ongoing call with the timer ticking away.

I have uninstalled Skype to the factory version and re-updated it on google play to the latest version. No fix.

Any ideas?

Clear the app cache and data. then check the issue.

I've got exactly the same pb with Skype !
I clear the cache and reinstall it and now all works correctly.
Error appears after 5.1.1 update.
