Why is some of the text garbled?

Some of the text on my web pages is garbled, especially dates or some of the tools listed under Google.
This was one of the listings under the search box for Google's search function. Not all the text is garbled. Often dates are. Also, options under the tools drop down are. Thanks for any help.

Looks like it's some kind of African language. Assuming none of your system menus are in that language, open your Google app, tap your profile pic, then Settings>Language & Region, and make sure the Search Language and Search Region are correct for you.

Reset the Google app clear its data then force stop it
