Why is Sprint spelling out E-V-O?

have I just missed something I thought the phone was the Evo not the E-V-O? Sprint reps and the recorded advertisements all spell it out?

Come to think of it, I've only read the name and never heard it spoken on the TV or radio. i thought "Evo" was short for evolution. Does it mean/stand for something else?

yeah I know if it stood for something it would be the EVO not Evo... the way they are saying it makes no sense in how its spelled out

The commercial doesn't spell it out...it says Evo
