Why is the Facebook app on my ASUS Android Tablet hanging on startup?

When I start the app, I get the blue screen with the flashing [f] logo in the center of the screen and it never gets past that. This is the second time this has happened. Both times, this happened right after installing the latest Facebook app update from the Google Play Store. The first time, I tried uninstalling reinstalling the app and it still hung on startup. After exhausting all options, I did a factory data reset. Once I got everything reinstalled, the app worked for a few days. A few days ago, another update installed, and once again, my app is hanging on startup. This time, a complete factory data reset did not fix it. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting, clearing data, clearing cache, factory data reset all to no avail. This is on an ASUS ME302C running Android 4.3. Can you help?

I think it's just the app itself....mine was doing that and I ended up just uninstalling it. There's a ton of recent negative comments on Play about the latest version.

I got a Facebook update on Saturday October 31st that fixed the issue. It was the app! At least now I have a fresh install on my tablet!
