Why is the text being received does NOT say the same thing that the other person sent

My boyfriend has an android and I have an iPhone 6. I sent him a message saying "it's okay" with bunch of emojis. The text he received said something like "okay babe I'll listen to it but we're driving home and it's gonna" with 2 heart emojis. This made him think I was texting another guy and it gave us some problems so I'm really angry about this. These messages aren't even close to each other, what happened????
