Why is there a beeping sound while I'm on a call?

I have a tmobile Samsung note 4......I recently started noticing a beeping sound while im on a call. The sounds like someone pressed the number pad. it wasn't me or the other person. it happens every time im on the phone. its not the minute minder , I already checked on that.

Call waiting? Are you recording the calls? Either one will beep. Call waiting is about very 5 seconds, recording is from 15 to 30 seconds.

If it wansn't you or the other person on the call, that only leaves the NSA. Just ask them to cut it out.

One other thing to check is if you have any call alerts active. in the phone App click the menu (three dots on top right>>settings>>call>>call alerts, and see if the minute reminder is checked.

When I initiate a call, I get three fast beeps. Is this to signal that I am using the advanced calling feature? I'm on Verizon.

What seems to have fixed that for me is to go into settings, more networks, mobile networks, mobile data and uncheck "Enhanced 4G LTE services." Ever since I did that, I did not get that annoying beep.
