Why is there a chunk of dead pixels on my phone (A manufacturing defect or result of physical damage

[Android Central Question]

One day a vertical line of dead pixel suddenly appeared on the left side of my Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) while I was listening to music with the top left of my phone case off (cuz my headphone plug thing couldn’t fit through the case’s headphone jack hole) I’ve tried applying pressure with a thin stick with cloth wrapped around it and also an app that says it fixes dead/stuck pixels but none of them worked. And the the line of dead pixels that looked like it was as thin as a string began spreading until it took up like a tenth of my screen. So now I’m wondering if it’s my own fault or the manufacturer’s fault and whether I can claim my warranty and get free maintenance services.
