why is this happening?

my samsung galaxy s5 my carrier is verizon and i retstarted my phone and it was starting back up and it wont load past the verizon screen and i tried pulling out the battery and rebooting it and stiil everytime it gets to the verizon red screen it freezes and goes no farther please help. asap.

Did you try clearing the cache?
