Why is this page auto-loading? How can I shut it off?

On my new S21, if I right-swipe from the Home Screen (Picture A), I end up with some useless page and a bunch of stuff (Picture B) that I did not ask for and do not want. How can I stop this page (Picture B) from auto-loading? It must be using data and battery, and even if it wasn't, I don't want the mindless articles appearing.

Thanks for some help. :D

Which Launcher are you using? That's the Google Discover Feed. It depends on which Launcher you're using on how to disable it (but it is tied to Google Assistant, so it's not using any more battery than it would if you disable that Feed, as Assistant still runs in the background, and doesn't use more battery/data until you open it up and refreshes the feed).

That's the Google Discover feed. This is pretty common and mimics the Pixel launcher. You can change it or turn it off by long-pressing any empty part of the homescreen, then scroll to the left, and turn the toggle switch off for the Google Discover feed (or change it to Samsung Free, which is a similar thing from Samsung).

EDIT: Posted before I knew SpookDroid also responded!
