Why is Verizon's touchwiz implementation so ugly?

So I've been playing with a Galaxy S 4G with T-mobile, and compared it to a Charge tonight at the Verizon store. One big thing that I noticed was how much uglier the Charge's Touchwiz is. Everything, from colors to icon choices, is a whole lot more...cartoony, on the Charge. Menus that are blue on the GS4G are orange or brown on the Charge. And so on and so on.

Why is the Charge saddled with the ugly version? It would be a great experience if it wasn't for those things.

If this is honestly your only complaint with the device, go ahead and download Launcher Pro... sit back, and enjoy all that the Charge has to offer you.
