Why isn't downloaded music stored on internal memory showing up in any music player, Samsung S5?

Downloaded music stored on internal memory not showing up in any music player. Samsung S5.

I can play the files through the file manager but not the google play or the default music player. I have even downloaded third party music players with no luck. I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.

My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.

Would putting the files on a micro SD card help at all?

Hi, what phone do you have and what version of Android is it? Oh, S5. OK, I'm also having a bug with Lollipop and Google Play Music app but other apps will play my songs. Your problem is a little different.

What folder are you putting your music files into?
