Google Play services not allowing map access to Uber
Hi all,
After installing the latest version of Google Play Services ( 7.8.99) I am unable to see maps on the Uber app unless I am logged in to my Google Account. Previously I had removed my Google account from my device (Settings->accounts->Google->remove account) and had no issues using Uber. I was forced to update through my Uber account otherwise I would not have updated Google Play Services.
I do not want to be constantly logged in to my Google account as I am wary of the control it will have over my phone (using data, battery, sending location information, etc..). Is there any way that I can use the Uber app without having to log in to google every time I do so?
The device I am using is Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) running Android version 5.0.1.
Thank you for your help!
