Why isn't my charging when on?

Not charging when on PLEASE HELP

Hi i bought this phone from eBay a few days ago and got it 2 days ago, it did state that it had problems with not charging when on, i did try to fix it the charge port was dirty so i cleaned it and it worked but now today it stopped so i tried cleaning it again with a toothpick and an air compressor the pin isn't damaged as well could it be the actual charger connector inside the phone if so please comment cause i really like charging my phone when on and you know ACTUALLY using it instead of waiting.

I'm sorry to hear that your device is not charging properly. It sounds like the seller was honest, based upon his description of how it did not charge when on.

You might want to contact the seller and see if he will accept a return. However, that might not be possible, since you purchased the device aware of the problem.

Otherwise, you will probably need to take it to a shop to get it repaired or try to repair it yourself.

If it charges when it's off, but not when it's on, it's most likely a motherboard defect (a leaky capacitor). About your only out (since the problem was clearly stated) is to take it to a good repair shop and get an estimate.
