Galaxy S4 Mini not being recognized by computers (But can still charge battery)

Hey there, so I'm trying to get some photos from my phone onto my PC, but my phone isn't being recognized by either of the computers in my house. I have both Kies and Kies 3 on both computers. On one computer it seems as if some drivers can't be installed, while on the other PC everything seems fine (yet still no connection). My attempts have been with the USB cable, and I don't have wifi in my house.

Try updating the drivers to your PC for your phone. You can get them on Samsung's website. Install, reboot and try again. Try different USB ports too.

Are you using a Windows PC? Which version?

Tried on windows xp and Windows 7

Welcome to Android Central! Cables can fail, so it's possible the data transfer part of your cable isn't working correctly. Have you tried a different cable?
