Why isn't my Moto G phone no longer receiving group messages after upgrading?

Moto G phone no longer receiving group messages after upgrade

My phone recently did a system update and now I can no longer receive group messages. My phone will ring that I have a message but if I push the text message icon there is no message to obtain! I need to be able to obtain my messages due to my childrens coaches sending group messages with important team info! PLEASE HELP

Welcome to Android Central! Which generation of Moto G, and which carrier? Is your mobile data on? Also, open the Messaging app, tap Menu>Settings, and look for a Group Messaging option--make sure it's still turned on.

Sometimes my group messaging gets "stuck" on my Moto G in a bad signal area. Try toggling airplane mode, that will occasionally "unstick" my group messages that have trouble.
