Why isn't my SanDisk 8 gb sd card being detected?

SanDisk 8 gb sd card not detected

I have a SanDisk 8 gb class 10 sd card that isn't working properly anymore.
The card is not detected by my phone and computer if I am connecting it directly or with an adaptor but if I connect it trough a card reader or a less smart phone (not running android) to the computer I can read it and edit the files from it.
The phone can read other sd cards and I managed to format the sd card but it is still undetected.

Since you have other ways of the SD card being read, I highly recommend that you backup whatever you have on that SD card. Then format that SD card and move the files across (that's if it can still be read/detected), but you still want to have a backup of whatever is on the SD card (whatever you do don't delete your backup), if the SD card can not be read/detected still then I would consider swapping it out for an SD card that can be read/detected.
