Why isn't my wifi connecting to the internet?

Wi-fi not connecting to internet

My S6 is connected to the works Wi-fi and it will simply just not connect to the internet. I have full admin rights to surf the net. I have restarted the router. I have checked that my time date is correct and still not working.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or just work? Does your work wi-fi require a proxy?

Thanks. I tested it last night at home and it worked perfectly. So only at work. No we do not need a proxy to connect.

Perhaps the firewall that is installed on your work network is set to limit access and disallow phones and tablets from connecting to the internet.

That's a good idea. Does the workplace have an IT department? Are they helpful?
