Why isn't the app drawer button working on Android 10?

[Android Central Question]

I have a Pixel 3 phone, and when I got it I absolutely hated the gesture control, enough that I followed a tutorial to use the command line to go back to normal. Now, I've just updated to Android 10, and while I don't have gesture control, the app drawer button doesn't work. Pressing it does nothing, and the split screen functionality doesn't seem to be working either. Anyone got a fix that doesn't involve going back to gesture control?

(By the way, the tutorial I followed involved manually uninstalling Pixel Launcher. I'm using Evie Launcher instead. Just in case that's relevant.)

You should reverse whatever command lines you made or re flash the software
