why isnt the battery widget unaccurate?

so i unpluged my phone and its down to 91 percent after 10 mins....whaat ive noticed so far is that the battery life will go down to about 25 percent in like 5 hours..then it will very slowly creep down...so the battery life is good but the widget is innacurate

The battery gauge is just an estimate, and it's based partially on the battery's history. So, the battery gauge starts out inaccurate but becomes more accurate as the phone gets used more (assuming you let the battery run down.)

if you search battery widget its the first one...ive also tryed others and its the same thing...im down to 87 percent already...mybe i should let the phone die ? would that recalibrate it?
