Why my phone's Calendar application asks for permission to manage and make calls?

Why my phone's (Gionee p5w) Calendar asks for permission to manage and make calls? I have Android 6.0 version.

Welcome to the forums. I am not sure why, but the Google one asks for it too. I just disabled that permission and I have yet to run into problems.

Go to settings> apps> scroll across to the all tab and scroll down to calendar and tap on permissions, just enable everything you see by turning it on and that should help

I disable all permissions on all apps. If they don't want to work, and I think it's a reasonable permission, I allow it. If not, I kill the app. Far too much data harvesting goes on these days...
